Head of High Performance Tennis Coaching

“ Champions are made not born ”

As both the founder and linchpin of Tennis Inc, Shane is a coach who redefines passion. He believes that building a strong tennis foundation is paramount to success and his strength lies in identifying and working with the unique personality of each student, creating individualised plans to maximise results.

Although renowned for his technical wizardry, Shane is very much focused on the all-round mentorship of his students. Ever the perfectionist, his coaching covers every aspect of the game from mental strength to tactical finesse, physical fitness to sportsmanship and nutrition to social development. He loves the whole process of creating competitive players from the ground up, choosing players he believes are passionate, hard working and whom have the potential to shine. The 25 junior national champions who he has coached is testament to this.

Full-time Tennis Inc students and teams are regularly accompanied overseas by Shane in order to improve their ITF rankings at tournaments. He also coaches and mentors Roy Hobbs, the first Singaporean to earn an ATP ranking player.

Shane’s total dedication toward his coaching and players guarantees a depth of commitment and results which are a privilege to witness. They say it takes 10,000 hours to master a trade, this coach has more than 30,000 hours of experience under his belt at just 37 years of age. Simply put, Shane lives and breathes for tennis and his work clearly reaps the benefits of this passion.
